It's almost spring

Last winter a friend and I were both having challenges with cabin fever.  Although I had escaped quite a bit of the winter during my trip up and down the east coast (read more if you're curious on "travel with me" at www.loraleehutton.com/travel).  I created this little video in hopes of encouraging her to get in the car and drive back to Manitoba for a long weekend.  I stumbled across it this week & thought I'd share it with you here ~ Loralee

The more money you make, the more people you can help

Have you heard this one before?

I*m talking about the magic hocus-pocus
school of finally making money in your
business.

Don't ask me where it started. I think some PR
/ Madison Avenue type coined the words
"Attraction", "Just Be" and "Authentic". And it
sounded great!

Simply make yourself more "attractive". And the
clients and dollars would find their way.

Well ... how is that working for you?

Look, I am all for doing what you love. I am all
for making a difference. The problem is ... in
order do that successfully, you need to turn a
profit. In fact ... the more money you make, the
more people you can help!

Which is why I am so glad my colleague
Suzanne Evans - a master of creating both
massive change and massive profits (and
helping others do the same) - has created this
fr.e.e. teleclass that is going to rock your
world:

Stop Attracting and Start Selling:
Three "You Bet Your Butt" Avenues to Finally
Break Through the Money Barrier

Make up to 10,000 Every Time You Travel

I'm passionate about travel experiences, and know I'll eventually be traveling while still earning an income that supports me fully.  And regardless of where I'm headed in life, I'll continue to connect people to valuable resources (and other people).   It's my life mission!

Tonight while reading this blog post I had a fire lit in my belly again! I've wanted to start a tour company for as long as I can remember.  The idea of being able to bring people with me on some of the amazing adventures I've had, is what propelled me to start "Travel with Me" , and to become an independent travel agent, and to work so very hard at moving my business from purely consulting, to having products and courses that I can deliver from anywhere in the world.

Twice today I've looked at information about Ecuador, and I keep thinking about the time spent there with Sandra Yancey & the e-women network. I'd LOVE to create a similar experience (meeting with micro-loans communities, time for masterminding & business brainstorming, and developing deep friendships). Maybe this dream isn't so far off, after all?

Create Your Own Niche Tours
Creating tours is a lot of fun. It allows you to get paid to travel with like-minded people—and you can start without quitting your day job. Above are the basic big steps to getting started, but creating your own tours isn’t just about the intangible benefits like freedom, sense of pride, and excitement. It can also be a lucrative side business. Find out how Cynthia makes $3,000 to $10,000 profit on every tour here: www.thetravelwriterslife.com/tur/il/.

Compassion

 Compassion

To be able to put oneself in another's position, to be able to see and to feel as another person does, this is the rare gift of an earnest spiritual seeker.  ~ Amma Mata Amritanandamayi, Indian Spiritual leader
The angel Compassion softens your heart with tears of understanding.  This angel brings you a tender, pure love that melts the most hardened heart and transforms pain into love.

Was your heart broken by a loss in your life?  Heartbreak can send you in two directions.  One is to close down in anger or fear and become hard-hearted or numb.  The other is to tolerate the intolerable feelings of pain by focusing on the love that is at the core of the pain.  This is a pain that comes from love.  You wouldn't feel the pain if you hadn't loved.  Pain like this can help to open your heart so you can experience greater love.  When someone dies, for example, the family often comes together in love, allowing old wounds to wash away in the tears of the loss.
From "Angel Love" by Kimberly Marooney
Actions to take:
  • Listen ~ be open to feeling what the other person feels
  • Read about Amma Mata Martianandamayi in the book Women of Power and Grace
  • Write in a journal about what has happened to you, how you may be preventing yourself from loving others, and even yourself.  Allow yourself to cry as you write.
  • Gather tissues and pillows and music that will allow you to feel comforted.  Allow your heart to melt with love.
  • Share compassion with others who are suffering loss.
Listen to the following pieces of music.

Jan Arden, "Time for Mercy"

Melissa Ethridge, "Precious Pain"

James Horner, "Main Title"

James Horner, "A gift of a Thistle"

James Horner, "the Secret Wedding"
James Horner, "for the Love of a Princess"

Generosity

The fullness of your most noble and healthy aspirations will come, just as the fall harvest always comes. ~ Gary Zukov

Generosity
The angel Generosity teaches you how to give from the heart.  True giving wastes no thought on what you will get in return.  The angel Generosity encourages you to give from the fullness of love.  Your soul is your model.  It gives naturally, out of devotion and selflessness and with a complete concern for the recipient.  Your goal is to give for the pure joy of giving, with no attachment to the results.

Be aware of that giving cycle.  As you give, you also receive.  And as you receive, you are willing to give even more.  The angel Generosity helps you find the wealth of love that comes from giving as you receive.

From Angel Love by Kimberly Marooney

Actions to take:

  • meditate to find the natural generosity in your heart.  Listen to "Point of Light" by Randy Travis  (strangely the only version I could find of this song is the one below)
Be open to finding new ways to be generous while listening to these songs.

  • Testify to Love, by Wynonna Judd
  •  Become a volunteer (T~ thought you'd love this one today)
  • give a gift certificate to a favorite clerk who regularly provides a service to you
  • Care for a sick friend by doing laundry, washing dishes or bringing dinner
  • Gather things you never use and give them to someone in need.

I found this great video on the site "Quotes to Live By"

This morning while connecting with a friend on the phone I asked if I could select an angel card for her.  Ultimately it became two cards (one fell on the floor, the other one we selected together).  I was pleasantly surprised that she chose two of the cards I've already viewed in the past week.

Change

Grace

As I settle into my bedtime routine I'm reflecting on the synchronicity of the day!  And some of the things that feel so very out of sync.

Until tomorrow...
