It's almost spring

Last winter a friend and I were both having challenges with cabin fever.  Although I had escaped quite a bit of the winter during my trip up and down the east coast (read more if you're curious on "travel with me" at www.loraleehutton.com/travel).  I created this little video in hopes of encouraging her to get in the car and drive back to Manitoba for a long weekend.  I stumbled across it this week & thought I'd share it with you here ~ Loralee

The more money you make, the more people you can help

Have you heard this one before?

I*m talking about the magic hocus-pocus
school of finally making money in your
business.

Don't ask me where it started. I think some PR
/ Madison Avenue type coined the words
"Attraction", "Just Be" and "Authentic". And it
sounded great!

Simply make yourself more "attractive". And the
clients and dollars would find their way.

Well ... how is that working for you?

Look, I am all for doing what you love. I am all
for making a difference. The problem is ... in
order do that successfully, you need to turn a
profit. In fact ... the more money you make, the
more people you can help!

Which is why I am so glad my colleague
Suzanne Evans - a master of creating both
massive change and massive profits (and
helping others do the same) - has created this
fr.e.e. teleclass that is going to rock your
world:

Stop Attracting and Start Selling:
Three "You Bet Your Butt" Avenues to Finally
Break Through the Money Barrier

Make up to 10,000 Every Time You Travel

I'm passionate about travel experiences, and know I'll eventually be traveling while still earning an income that supports me fully.  And regardless of where I'm headed in life, I'll continue to connect people to valuable resources (and other people).   It's my life mission!

Tonight while reading this blog post I had a fire lit in my belly again! I've wanted to start a tour company for as long as I can remember.  The idea of being able to bring people with me on some of the amazing adventures I've had, is what propelled me to start "Travel with Me" , and to become an independent travel agent, and to work so very hard at moving my business from purely consulting, to having products and courses that I can deliver from anywhere in the world.

Twice today I've looked at information about Ecuador, and I keep thinking about the time spent there with Sandra Yancey & the e-women network. I'd LOVE to create a similar experience (meeting with micro-loans communities, time for masterminding & business brainstorming, and developing deep friendships). Maybe this dream isn't so far off, after all?

Compassion

 Compassion

To be able to put oneself in another's position, to be able to see and to feel as another person does, this is the rare gift of an earnest spiritual seeker.  ~ Amma Mata Amritanandamayi, Indian Spiritual leader
The angel Compassion softens your heart with tears of understanding.  This angel brings you a tender, pure love that melts the most hardened heart and transforms pain into love.

Was your heart broken by a loss in your life?  Heartbreak can send you in two directions.  One is to close down in anger or fear and become hard-hearted or numb.  The other is to tolerate the intolerable feelings of pain by focusing on the love that is at the core of the pain.  This is a pain that comes from love.  You wouldn't feel the pain if you hadn't loved.  Pain like this can help to open your heart so you can experience greater love.  When someone dies, for example, the family often comes together in love, allowing old wounds to wash away in the tears of the loss.
From "Angel Love" by Kimberly Marooney
Actions to take:
  • Listen ~ be open to feeling what the other person feels
  • Read about Amma Mata Martianandamayi in the book Women of Power and Grace
  • Write in a journal about what has happened to you, how you may be preventing yourself from loving others, and even yourself.  Allow yourself to cry as you write.
  • Gather tissues and pillows and music that will allow you to feel comforted.  Allow your heart to melt with love.
  • Share compassion with others who are suffering loss.
Listen to the following pieces of music.

Jan Arden, "Time for Mercy"

Melissa Ethridge, "Precious Pain"

James Horner, "Main Title"

James Horner, "A gift of a Thistle"

James Horner, "the Secret Wedding"
James Horner, "for the Love of a Princess"

Generosity

The fullness of your most noble and healthy aspirations will come, just as the fall harvest always comes. ~ Gary Zukov

Generosity
The angel Generosity teaches you how to give from the heart.  True giving wastes no thought on what you will get in return.  The angel Generosity encourages you to give from the fullness of love.  Your soul is your model.  It gives naturally, out of devotion and selflessness and with a complete concern for the recipient.  Your goal is to give for the pure joy of giving, with no attachment to the results.

Be aware of that giving cycle.  As you give, you also receive.  And as you receive, you are willing to give even more.  The angel Generosity helps you find the wealth of love that comes from giving as you receive.

From Angel Love by Kimberly Marooney

Actions to take:

  • meditate to find the natural generosity in your heart.  Listen to "Point of Light" by Randy Travis  (strangely the only version I could find of this song is the one below)
Be open to finding new ways to be generous while listening to these songs.

  • Testify to Love, by Wynonna Judd
  •  Become a volunteer (T~ thought you'd love this one today)
  • give a gift certificate to a favorite clerk who regularly provides a service to you
  • Care for a sick friend by doing laundry, washing dishes or bringing dinner
  • Gather things you never use and give them to someone in need.

I found this great video on the site "Quotes to Live By"

This morning while connecting with a friend on the phone I asked if I could select an angel card for her.  Ultimately it became two cards (one fell on the floor, the other one we selected together).  I was pleasantly surprised that she chose two of the cards I've already viewed in the past week.

Change

Grace

As I settle into my bedtime routine I'm reflecting on the synchronicity of the day!  And some of the things that feel so very out of sync.

Until tomorrow...

Freedom and Opportunity

Everything in the world moves toward ever-increasing awareness and Freedom ~ Gary Zukov
Your time on Earth is an opportunity to use your will intelligently, wisely, and compassionately.  When you do, you become a conduit for the energy of your soul. ~ Gary Zukov

I think I may be purely procrastinating on doing a JOB I'm not enjoying at the moment.  I'm using the excuse that I promised to write something daily on this blog, but have been conflicted because I also promised to finish a project before doing anything "off task".  That was yesterday morning.

These two messages are timely ones.  I'm struggling with finishing this project because it showcases some of my talent, and I'd rather not be exposed in this way.  But I'm reminded here this is an opportunity for me to move.  Yet, I feel completely torn apart.  It's a physical pain, and struggle within my body and mind.  A struggle to NOT do what I know I should do, and even at times WANT to do.  It's a strange dilemna.

I don't know the exact quote, but there is one that talks about the level of stress and anxiety created within you is directly related to the size of the outcome.  With what I'm experiencing right now, I can only imagine that getting through this struggle today will bring me some kind of great happiness, or reward of some type.

Back to "work".

~Loralee

p.s.  I came back and chose one final quote, from my "think new now!" box of cards....

I demonstrate commitment!

Change

Last night I slept intermittently, waking frequently with busy dreams & my left hand asleep.  The sleeping arm started yesterday afternoon sometime, and it's still there as I type this message.  I imagine I've pinched something in my shoulder, and a long soak in the bathtub would sort it out.  Listening to my body has been something I've been "teased about" and "admired" for in varying quantities during my life.  In some capacity I have always believed my body (especially when in pain) was giving me clues to life's questions.  And it's been a puzzle I still have been unable to answer in many ways.  Well, are all the questions in life really meant to be answered?

On Friday I wrote an email that said,
My mantra for the next while is supposed to be "walk in beauty", but also to step out in faith!  take action before I have all the answers without being ready!!
And then this morning while selecting my Angel Card reading from Kimberly Marooney, I receive this card:

 Change
Are you facing opportunities for change that are unexpected or unwanted?  Do you know that you need to change something in your life, but fear is making you hesitate?  The angel Change is reaching for your hand to lead you safely in a new direction.  Find the willingness to change by taking the next step in front of you.

Sometimes you need to change your life before you understand why....Is your mind torturing you? Do you need a change of perspective?  If you are having difficulty with a situation in your life, try looking at it from different perspectives until you find something that will help your mind relax and be patient.  Don't make yourself crazy while changes are happening.  Stop negative thoughts by focusing on something you know is TRUE.  Don't let your mind get hijacked by what could happen.

  • Make commitments with yourself to take certain steps "by this date"
  • If you're feeling stuck, remember you have choices.  Feelings of discomfort or anger creates the desire to change, and can be used to proper you forward.
  • Pray when you feel stuck, fearful, frustrated or angry.  Ask the angel Change to reveal how this change will bring you closer to the light.
  • Dance! Get moving faster than whatever it is that is pulling you back into inertia ~ Man in the Mirror by Michael Jackson.  It's really worth watching the words.  I often get easily distracted by Michael Jacksons charisma, and I honestly don't think I'd really "heard" what he was saying in this song, until today.

  • Allow the angel Change to lead you by the hand, and listen to the Sarah Brightman song, "Deliver Me"

As I move forward with the day, and the months ahead I see how I'll be able to incorporate these steps into my life.  A lot of what I'm working on is helping myself to change, but also encouraging others to as well.  Incorporating Change can be scary!  But it's also the only way to move forward.  Life isn't meant to be lived stagnantly.

~Loralee

p.s.  I'm still selecting a daily quote from Gary Zukav and "think New Now!"

Realization

Today (Friday January 21, 2011) all I could do was type out the complete text of this angel card, and leave the editing for another day.  I enrolled in 5 teleseminars and I'm writing notes about them, while also constructing a new program (in my mind and on bits of paper).  This is how I create!  I listen to other thought leaders, hear how they are inspired, what brings them passion, and I allow new ideas to flow onto paper.  For example, I was listening to a woman speak about putting together a 2 or 3 day speaking event.  It's not something I'm interested in doing anytime soon, and I certainly am not interested in teaching other people how to promote themselves.  But what inspired me was the way she laid out her sales letter, and the processes she used to create her program. I was in full learning mode.
I let my instincts guide me ~ think new now! cards

My angel card for today was:

Realization
From the book "Agnel Love", by Kimberly Marooney
The words that enlighten the soul are more precious than jewels.  ~ Hazrat Inayat Khan, Indian Sufi mystic (born 1882)
Realizations are often the result of experiences you have during a spiritual endeavor such as prayer, meditation, and the contemplation of eternal truths.  The angel Realization responds when your soul seeks truth.  To begin the search, select the highest truths you can find in scripture and in the teachings of spiritual masters; then endeavor to realize their meaning.

Teachings or quotes provide a doorway to truth.  You must do something to walk through that doorway so you can realize the truth for yourself.  Realizing the truth is much more than memorizing words or modeling a behavior.  A realization is a direct, personal experience of the truth within the words.

The angel Realization is reaching for your hand to pull you into the truer part of yourself, your soul.  Spiritual truths help you uncover the qualities of your soul so you can bring these qualities to the functional level of your consciousness and use them in life.  Realizations come from everyday experiences as well as from profound spiritual experiences.

Actions to Attract the Angel Realization:

  • Copy a spiritual quote onto an index card and carry it with your throughout the day.  Seek to fully realize it's meaning.
  •  When choosing quotes, find ones related to your challenges.  If you are struggling with loneliness, seek quotes that guide you to experiencing the truest part of yourself and source.

Only by going alone in silence, without baggage, can one truly get into the heart of the wilderness. All other travel is mere dust and hotels and baggage and chatter. ~John Muir (1838 - 1914)
  • Share your quote with a friend (or do what I'm doing here)
  • Keep a journal of your realizations.

  • If you are determined, devote a weekend to serious prayer and meditation and keep at it until you feel unconditional love sweep through your heart.  Play music that is intense and serious, such as these three movie soundtracks:  Gladiator by Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard, Bravehearet by James Horner, or Passion by Peter Gabriel.  Each of these albums is a meditation in itself and offers a variety of music that will support you through the many different feelings you encounter when you open your heart to a response from the spirit.  As you pray and meditate, ask the angel Realization to take you through the doorway to eternal truth. ~ Kimberly Marooney

    Not surprised!

    Pelagio
Somehow I'm not the least bit surprised that today when I finally took the time to center myself and select an angel card, that I would pull card #37.

Yesterday I mentioned how last year I had selected the same 2 cards (out of 3), 32 times in less than 2 months.  There are 40 cards in the deck, and I haven't even bothered to calculate the odds.  But it must be astronomical, to select the same 2 cards repeatedly day after day after day.

And just in case you're wondering if there is something sticky on the cards I was using?  Or another excuse?  It's unlikely, as this deck is brand new.  The only times I've used it have been to make these posts here this month.

The card I've selected today is.... drum roll!!!

below is an excerpt from the book "Angel Love" by Kimberly Marooney, (areas marked in quotes).  You can purchase a copy from Amazon ~ a link is on the side bar of this blog.

    Sexuality

The more connections you and your lover make, not just between your bodies, but between your minds, your hearts, and your souls, the more you will strengthen the fabric of your relationship, and the more real moments you will experience together. ~ Barbara De Angelis, teacher

Sexuality is a potent aspect of being human.  Sexual urges are as primal as hunger.  Do unfulfilled desires and the residue of traumatic experiences prevent you from being able to function and feel pleasure?  The angel Sexuality invites you to find healing.  It is possible to be free of fear, guilt, and shame so you can feel sexually alive and experience profoundly intimate and passionate love-making.

Hidden secrets hold you hostage.  Writing can help you remember long-forgotten experiences that may be affecting how you respond to life.  Use the following questions to start:
    • What happened that shut you down sexually?
    • What are you ashamed of?
    • Are you numb and fearful? Why?
    • How do you feel about your current sexual relations and feelings?
    • Can you see a link between past experiences and your current situation?
    • What is missing?
    • What do you want?
Once you have identified any feelings of shame, fear, guilt, or anger that are interfering with your ability to be open and free sexually, meditate.  Play music that triggers sexual feelings.  Each time a painful feeling comes up, ask the angel Sexuality to help you let go of it.  Wanting to be rid of the pain is vital.  As long as you feel your anger or guilt is justified, the feeling will cling to you.

When you let all of these negative feelings wash out of you, healing begins.  Your anger can become a powerful force for healing when it is transformed into a passionate desire to be rid of the past.  As you let go of old feelings that have clogged up the places within you, love will have room to enter.  Love from the soul and from it's connection with the source will flow through your heart and body and bring true healing.  This love is a tangible energy that can be felt.

As you release feelings of fear, guilt and anger and open up sexually, your ability to connect with your partner will be greatly enhanced.  Your partner will see in your eyes, not the fear, but the real you - not your anger or shame, but your love.  Love blossoming in your heart is the most powerful aphrodisiac.  It allows your two souls to connect in a profoundly intimate and fulfilling exchange.

The actions to take from the Angel Sexuality

    • explore sexual fantasies (talk with a safe friend or partner)
    • read erotic literature or watch provocative movies to arouse healing feelings.
    • Try on clothing that feels erotic and makes you feel alive sexually
    • Dress up like to look like someone you find attractive (magazine, movie etc) - Do a photo shoot!
    • If you are overactive sexually, you may need to calm your desires and direct your energy inward toward self-love and self-respect
    • Dance to the music listed below
    Go Goo Dolls, "Iris"

    Paula Cole, "Feeling' Love"

You're really going to want to watch this one!  It's Good!

Marc Anthony, "I Need to Know"

    Raphael, "Healing Dance"

I wasn't able to find this piece, so I've included another one from the same album

So, what does all of this mean to me today?  I don't really know yet!  Once again, an area that I must obviously keep on top of.   Examining and being honest with myself about where I stand.  What is really the truth.  What is the truth of my past, but can be left behind as purely that!  And what focus not on the future, but what is here right now.  And create a space where I can continue to be healthy and healing in all aspects of my life ~ every single one.

Yesterday the fog had lifted from this city, but not from my mind.  Today, I'm feeling clearer!  I can't help but wonder if it may have had something to do with the beautiful full moon I had was watching through the skylight of this apartment. Quite the pull it has!

    Until tomorrow.

    Loralee

p.s.  I leave you with one final quote, selected randomly from Gary Zukav's book "Soul to Soul Meditations"

All of the behaviors that most need to be changed feel involuntary.  They are your obsessions, your compulsions, and, strongest of all, your addictions. ~ Gary Zukav

    This card again?

This card and another used to plague me. Well, not literally!  But for nearly a year I selected 3 of these angel cards nightly and journalled about them.  And for 32 out of 46 days straight, I pulled this card and another one.  Clearly there was a message I needed to take from this Angel card, and I wasn't getting it.

The pages of my book are so dog eared here, and still smell vaguely of the essential oils I frequently had near my bedside table then.  Here we go:

    Sensuality

If only we are wise enough to stop and set aside a moment amidst the demands and distractions of our daily lives, to truly see the beauty that surrounds us, to hear teh sounds of birdsong, to taste a peach and smell the roses, to touch the one we love.  ~ Elizabeth Millar in "The Fragrant Veil, Scents for the Sensuous Woman"

The soul is sensuous and playful by nature.  The angel Sensuality revives your sensuous and playful spirit by guiding you to a more open, loving heart. Sensuality connects to the pleasures of the spirit and reveals itself through the senses of taste, hearing, sigh, smell, touch, and emotion.

Bodily sensations and your truer qualities are greatly enhanced when you are in touch with your soul.  A slight breeze can feel like a passionate caress, and brief eye contact with a stranger can give you a glimpse into the grace of eternal love.  Are you open to feeling aroused and vibrant?

She goes on to ask questions about how we (I) feel at this time in my life, today.  Am I stopping to smell the roses?  What areas of my life need a makeover?  Is it my hairstyle or clothing?  What can I change in my life to feel more sensual right now?

In the sensuality makeover she suggests the following:

    • meditate and ask the angel Sensuality to help feel connected with the sensual, playful nature of your soul.
    • Play music that provokes sensations and desires, and allow yourself to feel all of your emotions.  Cry to wash away old pains and hurts, scream into a pillow to break through numbness and Dance!
    • Write about any thoughts that come to you, and any actions that you could take.
    • Take a bath with essential oils that smell enticing and make your skin feel smooth and delicious (This may be why my book smells so good right now)
    • Do a striptease
    • Act out a fantasy
    • Dress up in erotic costumes and accessories
    • Remove things from your closet that make you feel numb or dead.  Wear clothes that bring you to life.
    • And, choose clothing that connects you to this following pieces of music
    Celine Dion, "Seduces Me"

    Alanis Morissette, "Uninvited"

Joe Cocker, "You Can Leave Your Hat On"

Sarah Brightman, "You Take My Breath Away"

While browsing for these video clips in YouTube I came across something that stirred me. It reminded me of a time of awakening while I was on one of my trips to England several years ago.  I watched a documentary about Freddie Mercury from Queen.  Someone who I'd known very little about, a tortured soul I've since discovered.  Someone who was willing to step outside the box & be who he was, regardless of societies expectations of him.  He stood for so many things that are admirable, whether you believe in the ways he experienced them, or not.

I found this little snippet of a video from 1977, by the same name

You Take My Breath Away, Queen

There is clearly a lifetime worth of work for me here, in this card about sensuality.  I can't let it slide & think I've done the work, completed it like something on a checklist.  Instead, it's something best revisited daily.

During the coaching call last week with Gary, he uncovered a phrase he believes should be my life motto.

    Walk In Beauty

It's an old Native American saying that means

Beauty before me, beauty behind me, beauty beside me, beauty below me, beauty above me -- I walk in beauty.
You can read more about it in an ezine article here

In this article the author also says:
In this life, pain is inevitable--suffering is optional. The key to practicing non-suffering is to stay in the moment, stay in our "Beauty."
    By drumwolf

All week my body has been filled with pain.  Migraine pain for the first several days, then what seemed like a recovery day only to wake up this morning with another intense headache and sinus pain that's kept me small and quiet.  In some ways it has been good for me though.  I've stayed indoors, I've waited until the end of the afternoon to write this blog & I've quietly enjoyed teleseminars and information videos that peak my interest. And I did do some research for a client on a topic that interests me, something I could respond to quickly.

And how interesting it is to me, that "walking in beauty" is to be in a state of Grace ~ as this was the card I pulled yesterday.

I can hardly wait to see what shows up tomorrow.

    Grace

I'm feeling less inspired to write today, so I will begin with my customary Angel Card. Today I will write my interpretation of her work, since I'm not feeling comfortable with the risk of copywrite infringement. The text in green in the section below is from Kimberly Marooney's  book "Angel Love".

    Grace

The soul learns which activities brings God's presence nearer.
~ Brother Lawrence, French Carmelite monk (1611-1691)
in The Practice of the Presence of God

The angel Grace is God's messenger who bestows the experience of unconditional love at the most surprising moments.  These precious moments light the beacons of faith in your soul, showing you the way home.  Home is the place of your soul's origin, which lies within the heart of the ultimate source.  When you are touched by grace, you are feeling God's tender caress calling you to "come home."

An Experience of grace provides a glimpse of the magnitude of the love that awaits you.  This pure love ignites the longing of the soul for home.  What is the state of your relationship with God?  Do you have a personal connection with him?  By what name do you call him?  Even if you feel that you don't know God, realize that he never forgets you.  He knows you intimately land waits patiently for you to want to know him again.  Wherever you are in your relationship; with the divine, think of it as your starting point.

Your soul calls on the angel Grace to guide you into intimately personal experience of unconditional love.  An open, yearning heart is an irresistible invitation for the intervention of Grace.

She reminds us that unconditional love is available to everyone, at all times.

    ALL times!!

    It's not something you earn

    Some ways to experience Grace:

    • Ask the angel Grace to show you opportunities to share kindness. Be Observant.  If you see a neighbor struggling with a heavy trashcan, offer to help.  Or Take a flower to the clerk at your dry cleaners.
    • Listen to the following pieces of music:
"I knew I Loved You" by Savage Garden on Affirmation

"Ave Maria" by Chloe Goodchild on Devi to elevate your desire and attract grace.

And a quote from Gary Zukav

Judging is like watching a big-screen, big-sound, full-color feature film in black and white on a tiny television set with one small speaker.  The feature film is your life.  The reduced black-and-white version of it is what you see through your judgments. ~ Gary Zukav

Are you playing your Best Game?

I wrote this letter (to myself?) on June 22, 2009, and referenced the music video you see above.
    Ethan Lipton and his Orhestra:
Don't go with your song still inside you!
    Let it guide you, everyday
We all know that it's good to be humble
    but don't fumble
    don't grumble
    don't mumble..... your life away!

Have you looked inside recently?  Have you seen the clutter and jumble, the unwrapped gifts?  The crumpled papers and reminders?  Is there, a laundry list longer than your arm and a promise left unspoken?

It doesn't surprise me at all.  If you're anything like me, you've left a lot of things unsaid, unfinished or "unstarted".  But you know you've got to, right?

    It's time to COME OUT!

You have a bigger game to play.  You have a calling, a passion, a desire ~ to help, to serve, to "solve a problem", to restore the confidence of one other human being.  You are being called to BE who YOU ARE!

Not what society thinks you should do.  Not the perfect mother, perfect business owner, perfect double income earner, perfect athlete with a perfect body,

    Blanket of Fog

This morning there is a blanket of fog enveloping the little world I live in.  Most mornings I see the beautiful mountains from my office window ~ an entire view of the north side of this city.  Today I can't see more than 3 feet out the window, and it's all white.  I feel as though I'm wrapped in a big blanket.

And as my ritual continues of going through my daily journal (focusing on manifestation, an angel card as part of my meditation, and jotting down the top 4 "most important things to do today") I selected:

    Intimacy

Passion is the quickest to develop and the quickest to fade.  Intimacy develops more slowly, and commitment more gradually still.  ~ Robert Sternberg, American psychologist
(this is an excerpt from Kimberly Marooney's book Angel Love)

The angel Intimacy is the "Beloved angel of God".  True moments of intimacy are precious gifts of connection when hearts merge in the pure love that comes from God.  During an intimate exchange, love can feel any number of ways: sweet, sensual, respectful, sexual, passionate, tender, powerful, or alive.  Over time, the quality of love often changes to become richer as experiences deepen, resulting in a great fulfillment.

How can you become more available to intimate exchanges with the people you love most?  Intimacy with family and friends occurs when you can safely reveal you innermost feelings and desires.  Finding one person with whom you can share the full range of your being is a rare experience.  Do you feel both an affection and a deep understanding with someone?  Do the two of you create opportunities of intimacy when it is safe for  you both to affectionately open your hearts? Or do you tolerate shallow chatter with no emotional connection?

Intimacy happens when two hearts connect in the sincere desire to experience something new.  Expectations, on the other hand, prevent intimacy, such as wanting a connection to feel like a favorite experience you had previously.  In fact, it is as possible to have a brief, intimate connection with a stranger while waiting in line for coffee as it is to experience on with your mate in a more private situation.  Do you have the knack of starting up comfortable and revealing conversations with strangers?

Do old fears come up when you feel vulnerable?  Lack of trust in yourself or in another person deflects intimacy.  Instead, use your discernment before opening your heart.  Let the lessons of heartbreak from your life become the wisdom of discernment.  With keen awareness, you will know when it is safe to offer your heart in an intimate exchange with another.

Desires felt during intimate connections can be confusing when they are accompanied by sensual or sexual feelings.  Yet it is natural to want to have sex when your feelings are intimate and passionate.  Does being in a committed relationship cause you to close your heart to these kinds of intimate conversations with others, perhaps because you don't trust yourself?  Are you afraid of losing your partner's love?  Be aware that intimate and loving experiences are often quite brief and don't need to lead to sex or betrayal.

Are you avoiding the pain of feeling a broken  heart?  Pain is a part of human love.  Heartbreak opens your heart to God's love.  His love is the most intimate and personal of all because it is unconditional and wholehearted.  The deeper desires  you feel during intimate connections are for God's pure love.

The angel Intimacy is waiting for the opportunity to take you into an intimate experience with God so you can share that love with the people in your life.  When you are filled with God's love, you find the freedom to express your full sense of being alive without fear or self-doubt.  With God's love, fear loses it's grip.

Actions to Attract the Angel Intimacy

    • Write about your realizations, feelings, and experiences in a journal so you can gain awareness into the ways you avoid intimacy.  Use questions selected from the preceding section to guide your contemplation.  As you look over what you have written, ask the Angel Intimacy to help you see how past experiences cause you to run from opportunities from intimacy.
    • Make a peace offering to a loved one with whom you have had a falling out.
    • Invite an acquaintance you'd like to get to know better to have lunch with you.
    • Write a love letter to your most intimate companion.
    • Meditate to the music listed below, focusing on the desire for your heart to open so you can experience more intimately satisfying connections.

Music:  Sarah McLachlan, "Fumbling Towards Ecstasy"

Jude, "I know," on Music from the Motion Picture City of Angels

Creed, "Arms Wide Open," on Human Clay

This, followed by the "Soul to Soul Meditations" quote from Gary Zukav

To be compassionate requires that you share your passion with others.  The passion of so many now is one of pain, of shock, of grieving, and of loss.  Compassion allows you to feel those difficult emotions and the pain that lies beneath them.

As I continue my day, with the possibility of this fog not lifting, I embrace the opportunities to have intimate connections with people I connect with, by phone or in person.

    Trust and Faith

This morning began with a gentle neck rub to wake me from a deep/dreamy sleep, just moments before my 8:00 a.m. phone meeting with my friend/business mentor.  One of the key points that came up in our discussion was about stepping out before finding the courage to make that step.  It may seem a little bit off centre, since we often have the courage to step out.  But in my case, I need to step out and then I will find the courage for the next step.

Step out in faith from http://www.wak-art.com/stepbig.JPG

There is a lot more I'll want to write about this session with Gary, but I want to keep this post in line with my Daily Journal, and the Angel Card, because it ties in so beautifully.

Today the card I selected was Trust and Faith

(the following is a direct excerpt from the book by Kimberly Marooney called Angel Love)

And Immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand and caught him, And said unto him, "O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?" ~ Matthew 14:31
The angels Trust and Faith respond to the cry of your soul for a deeper connection with the source.  Faith comes from the soul, from a part of you that just knows.  Go to the place in your soul that has unshakable faith.

Trust comes from the mind and heart.  You decide to trust and then take an action to support the decision.  Trust can be lost when something unwanted happens, but faith is a quality of the soul and never leaves you.  You can always rely on faith.  Greater faith can be found by deciding to trust and by taking actions that will lead you to experiences of faith.

    Today is about Transcendence

Today My FOCUS was primarily on a coaching call with Joy from www.nakedfemine.com

Before the call I spent time with my daily journal.  My angel card reading for today was:
    Transcendence

You know, the difficulties in life do not have to be unbearable.  It is the way tha we look at them  through faith or unbelief.
Brother Lawrence, French Carmelite monk (1611- 1691) in The Practice of the Presence of God

    And the songs recommended were:
    1. Evanescene - "My Imortal"
    2. Sarah McLachlan - "Angel"
    3. Rob D "Clubbed to Death" from the Matrix

I didn't have a chance to listen/watch the videos on YouTube before the coaching call, and as I was writing up my review notes at the end, I hit "play" on video still up on my screen.  I was immediately brought to tears.  The call had brought up issues of a lifetimes of fears that have been holding me back.  My  fear of being visible ~ seen by everyone.  It may seem like a silly thing to a lot of people, yet for me it can be paralyzing.  A great part of me would prefer to stay small, and quiet and make sure no one notices me. I know this isn't in my best interest, or the interest of others, yet the fear is more intense than what I felt driving home on the icy roads last night.

In the coaching call we talked about the foundation of this fear.  This fear that may have started in childhood.  What we uncovered was my fear of being bossy!

Yes!  I was a bossy little girl!  I knew what I wanted, and I pushed people around to get what I wanted.
